Rear Window Washer Pump Question (Tahoe / Burb)

Yo -
the Burb's rear window washer fluid line has a crack near the rear bumper which leaks fluid.
question about the operation of the washer pump:
- can I fill the reservoir with fluid and only pump the front windows? meaning, does the pump pressurize the front and rear line or only the ones you direct it to wash?
like if I only use the front washer for the front windshield, does it pump to the front only or does it also pump the rear?

i've tried to fix it but didn't have the right size hose to splice it. trying alternate methods

I believe so. You can repair the crack with fuel line. Cut at the crack, slide the fuel line over and use that as an outside repair. Not the greatest fix, but easy.

Yes, the windshield washer reservoir has 2 independent pumps. I had an annoying leak on my 06 from the reservoir last year, especially in the summer heat. I replaced the grommet/seal on the pumps and it was still leaking. I finally ordered a new reservoir that came equipped with the pumps.

As I mentioned previously, my rear line leaks at the connection near the battery, so I never really use the rear. But the front works just fine.

that's what i planned to do, I had some extra fuel line from my old 93 Bronco Fuel delivery woes but it had the wrong Inner Diameter and wouldn't work, jsut need to source some new fuel line
EDIT: I think the washer line is 3/16" diameter? would you happen to know?

I think you're right. But 1/4" should work.

In other news, I just ordered a Silverado tank to replace the one in my Tahoe. Doing away with the rear altogether.

Fuel line I had was too big, there’s a parted out Burb I’m trying to snag the rear line from so it won’t be patched

For now I’ve just been avoiding the rear window washer
