Replacement for G80 limited slip
That might be correct. Mine has 3.42 gears. I think 3.73 and higher is a different carrier.- 4silverado

Replacement for G80 limited slip
Got a question for you. 2004 Silverado 1/2 ton 2WD. G80 limited slip is shot. I get a one wheel peel, right side spins. If I go back with a limited slip, what are my options? I'm not against another G80 but I have proof they don't last. I'm looking for cheaper options versus a full locker.- 4silverado

What's your exhaust setup?
I did a muffler swap; still has the stock tail pipe exiting behind the rear tire. The 3 inch Cherry Bomb is a little loud and I know I lost about 3 MPG when I did the muffler swap a few years ago. I've got a Walker super turbo to replace the Cherry Bomb sometime. I’m hoping to get a little MPG...- 4silverado

Gauge cluster replacement...no sure where to post.
Gaugewerx is one I see a lot of advertising on. They’ve got a page on Facebook. I’ve never used them as I’ve got a local shop does it.- 4silverado

Tried/Considered Hellwig Bars
I seem to recall on one of the other forums where someone used the rear sway bar from a Tahoe /Suburban and adapted it to the truck. I’d thought about doing it to mine but not much in the way of you pull scrap yards around here.- 4silverado

I use a lot of filing cabinets for auxiliary tool boxes. Silverado sign came from Hobby Lobby, not sure when I got it but I’ve had it for a while.- 4silverado

Sounds like my set up. Mine is just a scratch and dent Harbor Freight special and a couple of legal size (11x17) filing cabinets (auxiliary tool boxes).- 4silverado

I can’t say enough about Frost Guards. It definitely saves on having to scrape windows. I’ve had this one for several years now. It is held on by elastic over the mirrors.- 4silverado

I bypassed the power steering cooler back in 2018 when the cooler developed a pinhole near the top. Just removed the cooler and looped the line back to the steering rack. Haven't had a steering cooler on my 04 since then. I haven't noticed any difference with it not being there.- 4silverado

HOW TO: Add fog lights to 99-02, no programming.
I looked all over my 04 and never found that harness. I ended up making my own harness, tying it in with a 30 amp relay so lights only come on with key. Doing it this way means you can run driving lights with low or high beam.- 4silverado
