    Am I crazy?

I had it happen on my 2006 LBZ and a buddy had it happen on his 2005 LLY. Found this thread about some of the gassers experiencing it also. Mostly consistent with battery being changed. https://www.silveradosierra.com/threads/my-engine-hour-meter-got-reset.48665/

    Am I crazy?

Something to keep in mind on your buddies truck. Some of these generation trucks reset the engine hour meter when changing batteries. Not all the time but there’s been a few I’ve seen. My wife’s 04 Yukon 1/2 ton seems accurate but my diesel definitely reset last year when I changed the...

    Am I crazy?

60 psi at hot idle seems a bit high. Could be pressure sensor or if the gauge cluster has been pulled apart somebody put the needle back in the wrong spot. Otherwise looks pretty nice. Unfortunately it’s about 100 miles from me.

    Am I crazy?

I’m in CA near San Jose, South Bay Area but regularly travel to many different places. I’m willing to check it out if I’m within 20/30 miles. I’ll keep an eye out.

    2000 Silverado z71 refurb

just a short update. nothing really done to the truck, but driving it around and using it to haul crap out of my parents yard (dad was a bit of a hoarder -- thankfully limited to the backyard and garage). But helping get stuff cleaned up. Still running good. currently 298,700 miles...

    Am I crazy?

Good call on the pre-purchase inspection. There's a few too many things listed there that make it worth 20 grand to me. Obviously in our market here probably a $12-$15,000 truck without actually seeing it in person if the paint is really that good and there's verification of its true mileage...

    Am I crazy?

Here’s my take on this. I understand the value a rust free California truck brings to the table, but being in California myself I would have a hard time paying this for this vehicle. Yes it looks extremely clean and straight and yes it is actually very low mileage Unfortunately the price is in...

    2000 Silverado z71 refurb

Don’t know these guys or anything about them other than found this on a google search https://obsoutpost.com/obs-store/ols/products/gmt-k2xx-jump-seat-or-console-to-gmt800-gmt900/v/GMT-K2X-JMP-ST-199-200 Looks interesting.

    2000 Silverado z71 refurb

I have not confirmed if a k2xx center seat “top” can be swapped to a gmt900 seat base. Since the two bases seem similar aside from the mounting brackets. Something to look into.

    2000 Silverado z71 refurb

The center k2xx seats will “fit” but are not bolt in replacements like the gmt900. You’ll have to either cut the brackets from an 800/900 series or make your own to fit.

    2000 Silverado z71 refurb

The factory cerpet in this truck is heavy. It’s got a full rubber mass backing on it. Dry, the carpet alone probably weighs nearly 50-60lbs!

    2000 Silverado z71 refurb

Thanks. Yeah and most after market carpet probably isn’t as good of quality either. Technically the seats would bolt up too but the issue is the seatbelts are not in the seats on the 900. So you’d have to get creative.

    2000 Silverado z71 refurb

Good weather dried everything out nicely. Not as many pics today was busy getting it back together before dinner engagement. Got the carpet padding back in as well as a bit of extra padding along the back wall And under the front floor pan and trans tunnel. Not that it needed it but I had...

Let's see pics of your tools and boxes/cabinets

Dont judge me.... I actually dont own many Milwaukee tools. I have limited storage space and I needed good storage that allowed me to be mobile and the ability to move toolboxes without a big planned moving project to get a heavy toolbox loaded, etc. so this was a little pricey but has...

    2000 Silverado z71 refurb

So the nice weather we’re having means time to do some more work outside. However had to do some much needed yard work on Saturday to prep the garden. Yesterday got the seats out… Found 25 years of yuck under there. It was a contractors work truck for 20 years of that. Got it vacuumed up...

Tire Review: Michelin Defender LTX M/S2

So after having a balancing issue with the Toyo OpenCountry AT3 I was able to swap them out for this set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 126/123S in 285/70r17. After running the original Defender LTX M/S for ~43k miles I was really pleased with their performance except for the excessive wear on...

    Tire Review: Toyo OpenCountry AT3

Well on our way back from WA the truck developed a pretty good shake starting at about 60mph getting worse the faster you go. At 75 it’s shaking pretty good that my wife had to ask what was wrong. Went back to Americas Tire when we got back and talked with them. They rotated them and...

What have you done to your GMT800 lately?

Sorry no pics today…. But finally changed out the rear hatch/window lock/unlock mechanism. It started giving me issues a few years back in TN but only in cold weather (under 30F). When we got back home it was fine. Don’t think much of it until our recent trip to WA and with the cold weather...

    P0332/ P1516

P0332 is knock sensor low voltage. Not likely your problem why it won’t run. New Knock sensors and wiring harness (GM oe parts only) usually solve this. P1516 is the electric throttle actuator on the throttle body. For this I’d first check the connector to make sure it’s got clean contacts...
