    Center console conversion

Mine is an 04 extended cab. I know somewhere under that is the amp and sub for Bose. Those are the only pieces I haven’t upgraded; I’m not willing to give up space under back seat yet.

    Any active members here?

I pop in from time to time, but it isn’t very regular. All depends on what I see in my news feed.

    Center console conversion

Honestly I’ve never had mine apart. I assume that the ducts would tie into the floor outlet above the center hump. My last 3 have all had the center console. This weekend I might try removing the cup holders and see what I can see down in there.

    4silverado's 2004 Silverado

9/2022. Found an OEM hood. Think this might have been a take off since it was in a Goodmark cowl hood box. There is no way I could have refinished the old hood for what I paid for this one.

What kind of bed cover or tonneau do you have?

First time around was Tonno Pro trifold. It got threadbare along the edges after about 4 years. I just replaced it with a Smittybilt trifold. It doesn't cover as much as the Tonno Pro did, but it might last better due to a different material. Tonno Pro Trifold Smittybilt Smart Cover

    4silverado's 2004 Silverado

December 2021 - replaced the faded headlights with clear corner lights. I also added cheap ($18 for all 6) Ebay LEDs in the high, low, and driving lights. Also added a black grill insert. I need to pull the grill inserts and respray the original grill flat black. Someday, I'll get around to...

    Cat eye headlights

I updated to clear corner headlights December 2021 and added cheap Ebay LEDs in low, high, and driving lights this past January. LEDs were cheap - $18 for all 6; I'm a bit of a tightwad and didn't want to spend the big bucks for the name brand LEDs.. These things have worked out well for me and...

    Door handle leds?

I know I've seen them on LMC Truck. https://www.lmctruck.com/1999-13-chevy-gmc/door-parts/ce-1999-07-led-chrome-outside-door-handle-sets Write up says "LED Outside Door Handle Set features handles with dual function amber LEDs that can be wired for use as a running light and/or turn signal."...

Nice. I repaired the floor board on one of my trucks with old road signs. They were cheap and heavy guage metal.

    4silverado's 2004 Silverado

JBL GX608C installs. Door speakers were easy. Tweeters were a different story. Used original holes for Bose tweeters but opened them up with a sanding drum in a drill. I pulled the dash pad off to gain access to the wiring. Crossovers are under the dash pad. I didn't think the one of the...

    4silverado's 2004 Silverado

September 2019 - updated radio to a Kenwood DDX6706S, added a Kenwood CMOS-230 back up camera, JBL GX602C component speakers (3 ohm). I installed the camera inside the tailgate cap (directly above the tailgate handle on mine); I found the idea on a Duramax forum. This camera was not a flush...

    4silverado's 2004 Silverado

July 2018 - decided to start upgrading the Bose speakers. I ended up going with Powerbass L2-522, 5 1/4, 2 ohm, 2 way speakers to replace the 4 inch Bose speakers in the rear extended cab doors. I use foam baffles on any door speaker. I went with the 5 1/4 since not much metal had to be trimmed...
