I just picked up an 03 Silverado 1/2 ton 4wd. occasionally, when I hit a bump I can feel a "clunk" in the steering wheel. It feels like it would be a steering shaft related part. Does the shaft assembly even contain a part that could be worn and causing this? Where/How do I begin to check?

I just moved into the 800 series (03) from the 400 (99 Classic). I really found the GMT400 forum an invaluable resource throughout the year I owned the truck. I'm sure this forum will be just as resourceful! I try to do as much work myself as I can and I'm hoping for guidance from you more...
