The one in the truck is great 300k miles original drivetrain runs and drives great minus a whine that’s been there its whole life. My issue. I have this suburban that has been in my family for as long as I can remember we just recently bought it and we are planning on a 2000 mile vacation. It has a tick or a knock that goes away after 2k rpm’s. It’s done this sense as long as I can remember as well. It runs and drives better than the truck and has 100k less miles. Cold the knock or tick is gone and then warm and the rest of the day it’s there and with lower oil in the engine it’s worse. I’m curious if you’d trust the burban for this vacation. I have no doubt it would make the trip but I don’t want to get this thing stuck 1000 miles from home. Want to believe it’s lifter tick and maybe hopefully some tranny fluid and some thicker oil before the trip will clean it out but who knows figured I’d post in here to see your thoughts</p></blockquote><p></p>
