It is an experience. Stay away from Portland and Eugene proper, unless you like homeless and nut jobs. My dad was an owner/operator truck driver and I went with him in the truck when old enough and long enough break from school. When I went to Hawaii, when went to Vietnam, I had finally set foot in and eaten a meal in all 50 states. To this day, Oregon is the most beautiful state I have been in and lived in.
