Great pictures.. looks like some amazing weather. What a cool bridge! The chasm must be an awesome sight when the water shoots up like you mentioned. All I've got are some older pics from Bolivar Beach / Bolivar Peninsula (short ferry ride across from Galveston TX) Sometimes we'd take the 300 and sometimes the Redneckinator Water is almost always nice and calm, beach usually very quiet. You can park on the beach, and watch the parade of ships in/out of the Houston Ship Channel. We almost always catch some excellent fried catfish and shrimp at Benno's on the seawall in Galveston on these visits... Extra hush puppies please! :) and the occasional visit to Murdoch's down the street to sit on their porch/breezeway and sip on something cold while the waves crash underneath. It's been a while but only because I figure I've bored my poor wife to death with the place, but a favorite of mine is the Galveston Railroad Museum. Last time we went was 2022. This place was almost completely underwater and wiped out in 2018 by Hurricane Harvey. Broke my heart that the Texas Limited locomotives had to be scrapped from the damage they suffered in the flood water. These are some 2022 pics I guess I'm getting excited about going again soon. We try to fit at least a few trips to the beach in, each year, and usually off-season so we miss the crowds. SE TX has warm weather for such a long part of the year it's easy to go and have a nice time without it being officially "Summer" Richard
