Hi everyone, I post my build on a different forum, but I’m glad I found a GMT800 specific group to chat and bounce some ideas off of!
Two years back I wanted out of my newer SUV and into a truck because of my lifestyle (was starting to damage the poor SUV lol) and my girlfriend just picked up a brand new AWD Mazda 3 hatchback. So I bugged my dad about his old pickup that was just sitting on the ranch collecting dust and promptly gave him a grand for a good running 2004 GMC Sierra 1500.

When I picked it up, it was bone stock, dirty, and high mileage (425k km) since it was his highway truck driving to work and back since he bought it in 2007.
It had the typical bed fender rust, minor cab corners, and a few odd and ends. It’s an ongoing project to say the least but I love it. The goal is to create a prerunner inspired rig, I’m calling a “trail runner” with mid travel in the works and eventually a bit more power. Just something I can rip down our BC FSRs and still drive comfortably.
Here is how it sits now
