I also put an antenna for the radio on it, previous owners scrapped it(probably because it creates a lot of wind noise).I put the heater in it to eliminate cold starts in terms of engine wear. I live pretty much in the Center of Germany, it doesn`t really get that cold here. -21°C is about the lowest it has been here for the past years, usually temperatures stay at around 0 to -10°C during wintertime. But i should note that i live near woods and rivers, therefore the air is very humid and it feels a lot colder than it actually is.I kind of figured heaters like this are uncommon in the US since I couldnt find anything about preheating but plug-in block heaters. Therefore installing it was quite a creative process.</blockquote>
