It's not a GMT800, but rather a GMT400, known at GMT400.com and Lifted Trucks USA Forums.

I'll share some photos, but it's full build thread is here on GMT400, I will try and get it converted over.

Basically this is how she started when I got her.

Then I replaced the stock headlights with diamond clears. Bad set of aftermarket lights to get me by running my HIDs.

A few Specs on my Setup for the Truck:

5.7 Vortec 350
4L60E Automatic Transmission
14 Bolt Rear Differential (HD Tow Package)
Airaid Cold Air Intake
JBA Headers
Flowmaster Dual Cat-Back Exhaust
Throttle Body Spacer

American Eagle Series 589 Aluminum Wheels
Yokohama 33 Inch Geolander AT/S Tires

Full LED and HID Exterior Lighting
LED Interior Lighting
55 watt Amber Fog Lights below the front plate
GMT800 Towing Mirrors
Sony Xplod Audio
Cowl Induction/Ram Air Look Hood

Various other mods not listed.

A few changes happened, such as removing the molding, upgrading all exterior lighting to LED (except the Fogs) and obviously still more to come. The latest was that I had to replace my lower intake manifold, that was a fun job. I have a YouTube channel and video normally every update to the truck worth watching. Anyhow, here's how she looks now.

So, there she is. Oh, here's a link to my YouTube channel for videos. As you are browsing through you will see some odd videos...I've had odd requests...lol.

Being honest, I am not a fan of the the extended fender flares on a step side. Looks odd to me. Either way, if you like what you got on your truck, that's all that matters.

Other then the flares, I think it looks good.

Yeah, I kinds started feeling the same way about them. I took them off a few weeks ago to clean underneath, But can't run with them off due to damage on the passenger fender and damage on the rear fenders caused by the flares (paint missing, etc)

I got called out to do the 24 hour burnout challenge on OBS Obesession. I don't ever really do burnouts in this truck, I don't wanna break something or pay for new tires yet. haha, but I had to suck it up and do a small one because it is a challenge...and you can't turn down a challenge. Here's the video.

I have a few updates since the last one! Let's get started

Well guys. I finally took some suggestions and pulled off my window visors. Don't miss em either. The truck looks really clean without them.

That's a small visual update, next is slightly larger. I haven't went over my bumper project at all with you guys, so let's start from the beginning!

I have been wanting to put a smoothie diesel style bumper on my truck for a while now, and paint it white. For those of you who don't know what the diesel style is, it is the OEM bumper with two OEM intake holes, such as this one

hqdefault.jpg

I've played with the idea of building an "off road" style bumper, or getting a Road Armor or Iron Cross bumper for it, but I really wanted to stay close to OEM and stock with the nice, clean look. I found a bumper off of a 2000-2002 Tahoe Z71 on Craigslist, got a really good deal on it and went and got it. Here's a Tahoe Z71 for reference. They came with this bumper, fog lights, and a brush guard.

The owner totaled his, so he was parting out. He had everything else sold. It was about an hour drive, but worth it. The bumper I got my hands on was tan. I have wanted to add a light bar to my truck in a subtle way, my idea was integrating it into the bumper, so my Dad and I decided to make it happen. He helped me a lot with this project because he has the welding and fabricating skills that I don't. We started out with taping off the hole that was to be cut for my 6" Black Box LED light bar.

Cut the hole out

Next there was 8 small holes that needed to be gone, 4 for the brush guard, and 4 for the license plate holder, which I am getting rid of. We welded them up and smoothed them over. Also test fit the light bar.

Next was the debate on whether or not I was powder coating or painting it. I decided painting was going to be the cheaper route, and we can do that at home. I bought a mix of olympic/summit white, after talking with GM about how the paint codes were apparently the same for '97, and making sure I was getting the right color. Primed, painted, and cleared.

Got it all ready to mount onto the truck

This is one of my favorite things I have done to this truck! I am planning on adding more lights to those intake holes as well. Here are some YouTube videos to go along with the photos.

id imagine that if it would work on a gmt800, and a gmt800 bumper would work on a gmt400, then it should be able to be done but i mean if you dont like the look, you cant help that
