oddly, the truck is less wandery on the freeway and driving on dirt and roads etc..... without a stabilizer. I think thats because i made my steering better by fixing my reduced flow problem in my cooler, which made steering heavy and i think that made the road inputs act more harshly than would normally. I also have valvoline PSF since im not rich to get cold climate GM stuff yet (need to flush it enough first... thats expensive!) I used a bit of Seafoam trans tune to continue conditioning and cleaning varnish in the system, but the old nasty fluid (which has been sucked and filled about 4 times) was still nasty, so its working. The new fluid is lighter (viscosity is lower) than the stuff i removed, but it has on the bottle it meets GM spec for PSF and the same color, so thats good. The stabilizer was not fully worn out, but its not a consistent resistance when actuating by hand, but the new one does. so that probably added to the wander issue. I still need steering parts but dear god i barely notice it now despite one tie rod having a noticeable amount of play when i went to grease all the shot boots. lol. only 2 joints had muddy grease come out, the rest were surprisingly clean with the last time i pumped them
