Message: <blockquote data-quote="MultiVAC" data-source="post: 21853" data-attributes="member: 11910">Yes and kinda.  After I make my template out of cardboard, I am going to trim off most of the plastic around those fans, leaving just enough plastic around each one to use as a flange that will bolt through and into a steel shroud that I'll make.  I'd do aluminum, but my cheapo welder is flux-core only and I predict there will be some of that...   Where there's any sizable space left in the corners of the shroud I'll end making my own shutters.  I really doubt there's room to trim these in such a way to keep some of the shutters already there, but maybe I'll be able to keep one or two.The radiator core is 37.7 wide, 19.5 tall, because of the shroud offset, it will really sit a bit over the caps, so I really get about 40inches of width to work with and because of a gap top and bottom, I get about 21inches in height.  In that image, the outside diameter of the blades is 19.5in, so not a whole lot of extra room.</blockquote>
