Absolutely ! My buddy that lives in Nebraska turned me on to the GMT800s. I asked him if he could recommend a good truck. Seeing how he owns a repair shop and knows everything about vehicles, his 1st words was to look for a 800 series truck. I started sending him photos of silverados for sale from our neck of the woods! He about crapped himself seeing how good of conditions ours are compared to his local trucks Hahaha! I keep telling him that was the best advice ever given to me about the 800s!

I know about the rust problems that can be encountered. Your friend is in Nebraska and I spent the majority of my life and a bunch of years in shops, in KC, Mo. When I moved to Oregon, the rust was not the main thing on my mind as I started at the shop that had hired me but when I started looking at the vehicles that came in the shop and noticed the lack of rust, I almost cried. It is like Nirvana with no rust problems.

Welcome from Kentucky. Know what you mean on rust. My 04 was originally from Florida so I’m keeping an eye on things before Kentucky winters start causing the rot.
