After buying the GMT800 K2500HD, now selling the GMT400. $11k-Or Best Offer. This truck has never been wrecked, no dents, fresh headliner and sun visors, side moldings, grill, all light housing assemblies, upper and lower fan shroud, Retro Manufacturing radio, heat and a/c work as designed, no leaks......etc. Have much paperwork for repairs and maintenance. 131k miles, hard to find factory light brown and gold color scheme, 4x4 ext cab with color matching canopy that has clearcoat problems, 700R4 transmission that was replaced by a GM dealer in 2012, about 21k miles ago. 3.73 gears with G80 factory locker, semi float 14 bolt rear axle, no rust.....everything works and is very dependable. Selling because she wanted safety air bags in a newer truck.

She will likely cry a little. She has owned it 14+ years. She wanted safety air bags and I wanted to find another 2500 series and found another one in the 2004 we bought.

Sold the "Big Brown Beast" today to a guy that just got out of the ARMY on the 7th. Drove here from Reno and bought it today. Came with his brother, glasses, and the dog Santo. Pics and video of him driving away. In the first pic, you can see my new 2004 Silverado K2500HD in the background, across street in a neighbor's driveway. He is gone for weeks at a time and allows me to park stuff there, especially when working on other vehicles for customers.

That’s a great story. I hope he enjoys the truck. Those were really nice in their day.

There is a member at the GMT400 Forum that used the phrase, "Time Capsule" because of all the documentation paperwork that was supplied with the truck.

He contacted me, last night, after they had left here and went to the coast and then down Hiway 101 into Ca. and then across to Reno, back home. He stated that the truck never missed a beat. I knew it wouldn't. Yes, like @DateNight said, it is a cream puff in great condition and I have always felt that the "no rust" part of it, means that it has lots of years left in it if taken care of.

What pains me is that my girl, the owner, has been with her sick daughter in Texas since Dec. 6 and was not here when I sold it. I sent her the video and I know she cried and cried. She has been thru a lot with that truck and it took care of her as much as she took care of the truck. The Big Brown Beast lives on!
