Jus too show what I'm after visually is some replacement Oe Hanger rods
( weldable). I’ve redone my exhaust and not liking the smaller generic rods that are much smaller in diameter . If anyone has seen them matching diameter to Oe aftermarket that would be awesome to know where I can locate some .

Here is the much smaller Amazon rods

And here is the factory size matched up
I need a few 90 degree original larger diameter rods to weld they fit better with the evil energy Isolators

Might just have to rob some from a parts yard .

Have you looked at ebay? What is the diameter of the smaller Amazon rods and the diameter of what you want?

I had not looked further then Amazon and simple assumption’s that there wasn’t going to be anything like Oe diameter In a 90 degree .
Not sure what muffler shops tend to use for hangers on a diy aftermarket job for all aftermarket parts .

I can mic it today and find out .. I think just maybe walker makes a 3/8” dia I’ll have to see if that’s the same spec that came on 99+ tail pipes

I know that I used a muffler shop years ago on my 2002 Tahoe LS and they made their own 90* hangers and it was bigger than 3/8" diameter. I just called that shop and they are going to check the diameter and call me back.

Just talked to the muffler shop foreman and he said that they use 3/8" on cars with smaller exhaust systems. He said that on SUV's and Pickups they use a minimum 7/16" or even 1/2", depending on the situation. He said the hanger is the most important part of the exhaust system because NO exhaust shop wants them coming down.
