A year and a half ago the rear blend door actuator caused me a lot of aggravation, so I set out to figure out how these things work. I compiled my notes into a small document. Hopefully others will find it useful. It's probably more technical than most will be interested in. Let me know if you find errors in the doc.

Just don't replace the actuator upside down in your old Suburban like I did

Awesome! My rear blend works intermittently, and sometimes not at all. This will help me get into it when the weather warms (I'm always afraid of removing plastic panels when it's cold).
I have electrical stuff, including variable voltage supplies and resistors, so I should be able to follow your suggestions.
