I have a 2001 Silverado 2500HD LS 4x4 Crew Cab 8.1. 286k and running strong. It's new to me and I want to fix it up a little. The power steering and front end are first. The front seats are shot and terribly uncomfortable. I desire a good old fashion bench seat. What years fit ? Does anyone here have one ?

Welcome aboard!

They didn't make a bench for the GMT800 front seats. The closes was the 40/20/40 "split bench" which is just two buckets with a jump seat in the middle. I have those in my Tahoe and love them. If you have the buckets with the console, I believe you can get just the center jump seat to replace the console.

I recently bought foam for the bottom of my driver seat and it was not only an easy install, but made a surprising amount of difference.

If you want to do a whole new set, any of the front seat sets should bolt right in.

Seat Shop, yes. If you stick with the same seats, be prepared for welding repair on the metal seat bucket and add some foam. I recently did mine.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

Pics of truck, or it didn't happen.
