    Pin 16 should be a dark green with white stripe. That is your vehicle speed sense wire. You can try pulling that pin. I wouldn't ground it out, just tape it off. See if that helps.

    If you can, use a scanner to watch the wheel speed values and drive through a puddle. That will narrow down your search I believe the ABS only uses the speedo for the rear and sensors for the front, though. Not a lot to check. Checking the wires and connectors from your front hubs would be prudent.

    You can do either. Reprogramming is easy enough. Even if you got one from a junkyard, you'd need the programmer to change the VIN. There are lots of factory tune files floating around the interwebs.

    I contacted the manufacturer of the clip. Custom run. Have to order 1k to make a run. Not doing that. Now to figure something else out.

    Alternator rating

    This wasn't good for the old 10si and 12si alternators. Plain ol' bad for anything more modern. Generally, if the truck is telling you it's not charging, it is correct. Even mostly dead batteries will allow the alternator to work.

    I tested my new 12v to USB power adapter. Draws 3.5 milliamps when not in use. No need to tie in the other outlets. My MagSafe charger and DLC are the only things I need to turn off with the key, so I’m set.

    I may tap the other front socket into the same circuit as the cigarette lighter and leave the rear cargo one on its own circuit.

    The ash tray in my '06 Tahoe doesn't stay all the way closed part of the clip that keeps it fully closed is broken. Does anyone know what clip that is? I'll probably have to pull the whole panel out to get the clip out...

    This same mod could simply be placed in the aux power outlet fuse if you have no need to de-power your DLC and want to power down the other outlets.
