    Better reverse lighting ...

I'm using these, but you can go much brighter. https://a.co/d/29Q4M9f The brighter option is just to use an LED headlight in the reverse socket. I did this with another vehicle using a GTR Lighting kit.

    My first GMT800, 01 2500HD LQ4

Just wrapped up doing about 2k miles of towing for the latest race. The bearing inside the 105A alternator is starting to make a serious groan, so ordered the ACDelco Gold #88864277 replacement that's listed as 130A. Figured that would give a little more buffer if I move to electric radiator...

I don't really trust one that can't be serviced.

    My first GMT800, 01 2500HD LQ4

So it was a slightly different failure mode than I anticipated. The rear knock sensor valley was filling slowly with coolant once I disassembled. So had to do some parts runs for more gaskets during the job. I also installed the updated valve cover that's supposed to have better baffling for...

Started getting P0332 (comes back after reset), so ordered all the parts to replace the knock sensors. I'll also check the condition of the wiring while I'm under there.

    Keep driving your GMT800s?

GMT800 was a double edged sword for GM, so I understand why they started cutting costs aggressively post bailout. The GMT800 was great for consumers, but not great for their financial stability.

Intermittent PITA, Intermittent ignition switch or door latch/actuator?

I would test the door switch first, since that'll be the easiest with a multimeter. Then check ohms between the switch and the BCM harness plug. If that's all good, then I'd swap BCM.

Is there a way to remove the oil filter w/o spilling oil?

The ADBV keeps oil in the galley above the filter. So even if you drain the filter with a hole, there is remaining oil above the baffle.

GMT800 Radio Reception Issues with Aftermarket Radios - Solution

Excellent fix! This is a new phenomenon to me. Any reason why a dedicated 12V antenna amplifier wouldn't work? https://www.amazon.com/KSaAuto-Universal-Amplifier-Reception-Connector/dp/B09CYJ3FBJ/

Hauling VERY heavy with an '02 Tahoe Z71, NEED stiffer springs

Either way you are adding something it didn't have originally. The benefit to adding the air spring is you just drop it to 5psi and your stock coil is behaving as normal.

Hauling VERY heavy with an '02 Tahoe Z71, NEED stiffer springs

Doesn't make sense to me, since an air spring is designed for this very purpose. https://www.etrailer.com/susp-2002_Chevrolet_Tahoe.htm?fUrl=-sf-Towing|Load_Leveling-pt-Air_Springs&Redirect=8

Hauling VERY heavy with an '02 Tahoe Z71, NEED stiffer springs

Why not a helper spring? I have rear air springs on my 2500HD. I adjust the psi get the ride level.
