05 console swap

I deleted the full center console on my 99 extended cab for a jumpseat. I lost the rear ducts, of course. On my truck when I removed the center console, I had the opening for the AC duct down under the dash. I just put some aluminum duct tape over the openings.

IDK if 03-07 trucks are the same, but I would think so. If you want I can snap some photos under there when I get home.

It would be cool if the trucks came with the AC vents on headliner like on the SUVs, that way you didn't have to rely on the center console for rear seat AC.

So here's a pic of the console and the connecting duct.it connects directly to the bottom of heater box which is definitley different than mine. It's a nightmare to change the heater box and i don't want to hack mine up so unfortunately i won't be hooking up rear vents

Ok. I will look at both my 99 and 06 suburban. I deleted the console on both. Suburban obviously doesn't have the AC ducts thru the console, but will be interesting what is down there, if anything?

Either change entire heater box or cut my original one up and hope for the best

Your truck and your choice. Isn't there moldable flexible adaptable ducting that you can attach it all together with?

I see now. The only ducts you have are for either the passenger side or the driver side and nothing in the middle over the tunnel?

Well, guess what, that is why you could not find it being done anywhere. Mount a small oscillating fan, upside down, off of the ceiling, in the center, just over the back of the front seats.

I have that same screw stud under my box that I thought would be one of the mount points for the duct I have but I would have to cut a huge section off next to it
