I have a 2004 Yukon with rear A/C. Sometimes when I start it I hear a ticking sound coming from the right rear interior. I heard it's an Aspirator valve and the interior panels would have to be removed, the A/C system refrigerant pumped out and the valve replaced and recharge the system at over$1000. OUCH!!!! So do I fix it or turn up the radio?????
Thanks for your help
Dave

You mean an expansion valve? Sounds like a faulty blend door motor, but I don't remember for sure if there is one back there. Expansion valves can't make noise and when they fail, they just make the AC not blow cold (they can stick open or closed, and it's usually just on Chrysler products).

i have a leaf stuck in my vents somewhere and i could take a bunch of stuff apart and remove it but i really dont feel like it, anyways my point is, fixing something is relative, to what point does it bother you? if the A/C still blows cold, then when it gets annoying enough, fix it
