@Cadillacmak, I am copying and pasting your suggestions to @Shaggy and @Griffin.

Thanks for them. All of them make perfect sense and I did not know that these were not already there.

I figure if a member posts at all, they should get a "like". They took the time to post after all and that typically means they read the post.

Day by day, this forum is getting better and better. I see no reason why it should not take off like crazy, since there is a large completely loyal group of GMT800 lovers out there.

I am here for general repairs on friends trucks and maybe some tuning tips. But after seeing some of the truck pictures here, you all might talk me into a build if I am not careful. @stutaeng
Cool. I'm usually a repair guy as well. I see you have a 2500HD. Nice!

I'm a 8 lug fan myself :)

Here's my collection of old Chebbies:
2006 Suburban 2500 2wd LQ4/4L80e/4.10, my daily driver
2004 Suburban 2500 4x4 LQ4/4L80e/4.10, "project suburban"
2000 K3500 CCLB SRW 5.7/4L80e/4.10, weekender beater truck (will sell soon because I really want a 2500HD 4x4)
1999 Silverado ECSB 2wd. Retired from daily driver with a worn out V6. I did a 4.3 to a stock 5.3/4L80e swap and it's an occasional driver. Truck is pretty decent and I get random folks at the grocery stores asking if I'm selling it, LOL.

The 1999 is the one that I want to modify slightly. 2kxx rear axle swap, hydroboost brake upgrade, maybe the 2021 front brakes as well...I think I'll eventually pass this truck to my son when the time comes. He's 13. I've had it since I was in college, 2008.

Unfortunately I don't have the 2002 K2500 anymore. I sold it to my dad who shipped it to Hawaii, and when he sold his house there, it was to expensive to ship back, so he sold it. I have been looking for another one off and on for years now. It had the 8.1 and could really smoke some tires!

I think there is some threads on the Tahoe Yukon Forum and GMT400 about hydro-boost change overs for the GMT800 trucks. Have to do the right power steering upgrade at the time.

Before I dedicated my time and efforts to this Forum to do my best to bring this Forum back to life, after I bought the 2004 Silverado K2500HD, I joined the Silverado/Sierra Forum. Big mistake. There is a couple of members there that do as much as they can to antagonize other members and, to tell you the truth, that really p*i*ss*e*s me off. Anyone can make mistakes but the "holier than thou" attitude of the two just made me realize I did not want to waste my time or support a forum like that. Plus, ALL Silverados and Sierras were lumped together instead of Square Body, GMT400, GMT800, NBS and NNBS and newer. Could be a bit confusing.

Anyway, know this, I can take it and I can dish it out, with the best of them but I learned in the service that everyone deserves respect, even if they disagree with you. My dad taught me that and it was driven in deeper in the service.

I want this forum to succeed in a BIG WAY and will do all I can to help it get there and stay there.

I understood @ORVietVet ...and you probably haven't even gotten into a pissing contest with Specteneiner (I think that's the guy?)... he's a character, LOL. Him and I got into some stupid argument a bit after I joined about air filters...SHM. I've learned sometimes you just have ignore some of these types of folks...

Anyways, are we gonna have a food thread here, or you want me to "take a stab" at that?

I think, for now, we just go in to the Lounge and start a thread.

Reach out to @Shaggy and @Griffin in a Conversation to suggest that.
Umm. I don't see a "Lounge" area...moderators (@Shaggy @Griffin), et. al., do we have such an area? Like for posting random stuff like about food...yum I LOVE food! LOL

...We just had some battered cod, shrimp and tater tots, all baked in the oven. Plenty of hot sauce, of course! :)
Does look yummy. While I do like seafood, I am a big fan of correctly done BBQ pork ribs, with the right dry rub. I do like vinegar base Arthur Bryant's sauce but I am not a fan of BBQ sauce cooked on the meats. Add later if you so choose to. I am a spoiled KC BBQ lover.

I went looking for it and didn’t see it.
On Home Page. Scroll all the way down. You should see GMT800.com at the top. Then GMT800 Supporting Vendors. Then '99-'06 GM truck Modifications. Then Classifieds. Then General Discussion. Then Photo Gallery. Then Member's area. In Member's Area, the top choice should say Lounge.

Might be a difference between the laptop and the mobile app. Either I’m blind (which is a possibility) or mobile app is a basic version (which I have run across before). I’m not seeing it on my phone. I’ll check the full version later.

If its like GMT400, you have to have 6 months and 100 posts to access that. Which I have a long way to go!
