cluster mileage?

does anyone know where the mileage is stored in these trucks, i have my eye on a esky cluster but it says it has 145,000 miles on it, my truck only has 115,000, so will the mileage stay or will it display 145?

It is stored in the cluster. If you end up getting it, the dealer might know of a company that can have it reprogrammed, or at least the dealer by me knows of a company that does it.

no. It needs to be done by a tech 2 and most shops won't spend that kinda money on one.

if i can scoop it up for cheap enough, im going to wait until i hit 145,000 then install it

Here is how I see that going down....

300 mile road trip, 182 miles in to said road trip you swerve to the shoulder to pull the dash apart and swap clusters! lol

thats was completely the plan, have it in the bacl seat and as soon as it rolls over, slam on the brakes and change it on the side of the road
