Hey guys I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado ext cab work truck that I recently swapped full power doors. I got the bcm and everything works perfect (even bought a key fob and it works too!) the problem is that when I open the driver door the courtesy light doesn’t come on. All other courtesy lights work respectively. The cluster shows “driver door ajar” and when I press unlock on the fob the light does indeed turn on so I know the light itself works. Replaced the lock actuator to no avail.

When you say lock actuator, do you mean the motorized gizmo that actually moves the lock, or the integral window switch and lock module?

This would suggest that if everything else works as it should, there's something wrong with the DDM that's not triggering the light when the door opens. Check all your connections at the DDM for corrosion and good connection.
