I went to a swap meet last weekend and picked up a really nice 99-02 bumper with factory plastics. I have some matte black dye to dye the top pad to make it look new again but I’m also thinking about dying the bottom plastics black instead of the gray. Any thoughts?

There is a pic of my current bumper to give an idea of the two colors. My current bumper has a small dent in it.

How easy is it to dye the bottom piece, back to gray if you don't like the all black look? Personally, I like the black and gray, the way it is now but it is not my truck.

You could also paint it to match or there is always Plastidip. My lower air dam was painted with Duplicolor Custom Wrap, equivalent to Plastidip, but in Midnight Cherry Matte. I used duct tape to cover the chrome bumper and cardboard between the lights and back of lower dam. Sprayed it on the truck with virtually no prep. Didn’t do too bad and it’s been on there for a couple of years now. Been wanting to spray top pad but Duplicolor stopped producing that color; might have to see if Plastidip has a similar color.IMG_7112.jpeg
