ext cab back door inside handle

I have replace both inside door handle on my truck twice and now I need to replace the passenger side again does anyone make a better handle than these cheap plastic ones? I've try GM ones and aftermarket ones none seem to last and is there a adjustment that can be done so the handle may not get broke as easy again.

What is happening that's causing them to break? Like breaking the handles right off?

the small tab on the back side of the handle that pushes against the door unlatch assembly breaks
