Really? I think that's what I used on my 99 when I replaced them 2 years ago. Mine is a 2wd, so probably not the same part.

What are your options? Are 1500 4x4 LCA the forged variety like on the 8 lug? Maybe just get the LCA with bushings and ball joints already installed? IDK

Rock Auto has Mevotech, Dorman, Or Moog. Yes, they are forged with torsion bars and a single shock. I was trying to avoid the full lower control arm as it is much more expensive than the bushings and a ball joint.

I wouldn't be afraid to use either Moog or Delphi LCA bushings. You can get the AC Delco lower 4x4 arms and yes they are more expensive but you also get new ball joints. Plus, think of the labor time you save. Are you really set up to get those old bushings out and in?

Is it not easy to do with a ball joint press? I was going to need to borrow one from the parts store anyway.

Either that or a machine shop can knock them out quick with a regular press. The $500 a piece for loaded control arms is usually not something a I see people spring for.

I see LCA assemblies, ACD, that are $217 each, 45D3174 & 45D3175 plus shipping. Would still be less than a total of $500. You get a new arm, ball joint and LCA bushings and just R&R labor instead of R&R and fighting the bushings.

OEM are $500 apiece for my rig, $200 per isn't bad. I also in the old days had built a tool, long threaded rod to pull them into the arm with an impact.
