Hello, I have a 2001 2500HD 6.0. Recently, the battery light has stayed on while the engine is running, the odometer and gear indicator stopped turning on, fuel gauge, coolant temp and trans temp gauges stopped working, heat and AC stopped working. Everything else still works. Truck still fires up every time without hesitation. Tested the battery, starter and alternator, all tested good.

The dash cluster is just that, a dash cluster. Mine was done because of faulty stepper motor for the oil pressure. Heating and a/c would be something else and you may not even need a cluster, if all this happened at once. #1-Did you do or have any recent work done? #2-The heat/a-c not working, meaning no blower? That could all be related to a control head, the blower motor and resistor or the ever possible grounds problems.

The only work that I've done aside from standard maintenance recently was a power steering pump a couple weeks ago and a new blower motor and resistor back at the tail end of August. Prior to that, the only major work done to the truck under my ownership was a complete replacement of the brake lines, and that was close to 2 years ago

Check you grounds first especially if you live in the rustbelt.

The 99-02 clusters don't normally die on the stepper motors like the 03+, but sometimes the solder near the odometer starts going bad and the numbers become dim until it dies. Reflowing the holder fixed that. I did it on my 99 Silverado.

The AC going out is (and the gauges) are probably something else, so you may have multiple issues going on.

Start with the easy, which is grounds. Pull up a wiring diagram from Charm.li It's a free website and they have everything from diagrams to diagnostics
