That was the same with the 2002 K2500 with the 8.1 that I had. My boss at the time bought it new and I told him when he is ready to sell let me know first. The day he wanted to sell he called and asked if I would pay whatever his asking price was (too long ago to remember), and I said yes meet me at the bank.

I am pretty sure the kid borrowed the $10k difference from his dad. Plus, the updated parts, I had bought for it, will be put on by me and he will pay me labor.

Deal went down yesterday evening and I am getting new tires on the Tacoma on Friday. I will see the K2500HD all the time because the son stays at parents place a lot. My girl is happy now and not so intimidated by the bigger truck.

So, still have a GMT800 series truck/suv. Be talking more about my Tahoe now and any help I can give/get here at the forum. I will miss the truck.....no doubt. Just could not justify owning that workhorse. Plus, my girl is happy and loves the Tacoma. Especially the hand crank windows.

As low mileage as it is and what she will do with it, it will last a very long time. Plus, anytime I need to use the other truck, I can.
