well i guess because i start tomorrow after work then i should start a construction section for this.
i have a 2000 Z71 with a 5.3 that i will be swapping the heads for a set of 799s, parts lists needed is;
a set of 799/243 heads-$400
having said heads milled 0.030 to stop you from losing compression-$185
because i didnt know the history of the head i had them vacuum tested - $20
because you mill the heads, you need a set of shorter pushrods, i went with Brian Tooley Racing 7.375" chromolly pushrods - $99
summitracing head gaskets - $45 for the pair
off brand head studs, $70
exhaust manifold gaskets - $30
exhaust flange gasket - $5
