I ordered some as well. They come in tomorrow and since I have some time off work I'm gonna install this week. I'll take pics and do a write up. still trying to decide how to hook them up. Tap into the interior lights with an aux toggle switch to turn on (so they come on with the puddle lights.) or just wire them up on a new circuit with a toggle.
i got both. i got 3 led strips for under the side steps and 4 led pods for in the fenders. hopefully going to start the project today. anyone have any experience adding a new circuit to the fuse panel. i want to make it look factory (except for the aux switch inside haha)
Added another one to the grill this will be the last pic until I get all the outside done and then one more when the inside is done and yes the grill was still deattached that's why it looks funny
Like it or should I put them to the side to where u can't see them and just have it to where u can see their lighting ouput
i just finished all my lights yesterday. I'm going to start a new thread with the diy on the lights. i hooked mine up to the puddle lights. love it. its really nice to hit the unlock and have all the light under the truck. makes it stand out. ill post some pics later today.
Well I'm close enough to being finished to put these on here I'm just going to do some more cleaning up and putting something in the front cross member to make it glow
i'll take some better night shots. I'm going to do 2 write ups. one for the lights in the hood, and one for the lights around the bottom. also I wired my lights up to the puddle lights so it is remote on/off.
I want to add underglow to my truck, I have a bunch of the red led pods, just looking for more info on how you guys put them in the wheel wells. Where I live they'll get so much shit thrown at them so I want to get it right and sturdy or not do them at all if they aren't going to last. Also for underneath do I just mount them directly on the frame?
Just to make sure to run an inline fuse, toggle switch, and at the very minimum on the last part of wiring color coordinate your ground, load, power it'll save you in the long run
I want to grab power from my parking light/drl since they are turned on all the time when my truck is on. Toggle switch so I can turn them off while I'm driving if needed. That way I don't have to worry about turning them off every time I park my truck.
