We own a 2013 T&C minivan. I remember when I just bought it for my wife back in 2015, I thought "no way would I drive a minivan!" Well, I guess I was too young then, because I don't mind driving now, lol. I really like the sliding doors getting in and out with the kids in standard parking spaces and the low step in height. We now even own a full sized 12 passenger Express van [monkey covering eye emoji] as a family hauler.

I would also recommend getting the torque converter lockup o ring replaced on the transmission. Maybe the transmission front pump seal too? Yes, engine oil pan too. Engine/transmission mounts, only if they are bad, otherwise leave them.

Isn't that crazy how we have to explain that to people? One wife, seven kids here, I am her only husband, all the kids are ours. And then I have to add, no I am no Catholic, no I am not Mormon, and yes I know what causes it.

Speaking of Caddy’s, I saw a SUPER clean GMT800 white Escalade a few days ago outside Harbor Freight.. damn they have held up over the years in styling. Besides the new one might be their best looking Escalade

I've never been inside a GMT800 Cadillac Escalade. Where I used to work, one of the bosses had a 2009(?) Escalade and rode in it a few times. They are certainly nice.

I did have a former coworker with a 2003 or 2004 Tahoe with the 4.8. It had something like 325k when he passed it on to his DIL, and I think the only thing that was replaced that was non-maintenance was one wheel hub. His son eventually divorced the girl and she kept the truck, which by then had another 100k...He's the guy that talked me into keeping my GMT800, back around 2015.

The guy bought a new 2017 Silverado to replace the Tahoe, and it had all kinds of issues from the get-go. AC condenser ($1500 and had to wait because parts were backordered for months so had to drive in the summer w/o AC), I can't remember what else, and then the 6L80 transmission went out around 100k. That alone was $5k IIRC. Didn't help that the truck got stolen twice either. SMH...

I was going to post this Z71, and looks like it just sold, LOL

Small easily manageable slides are good practice, especially to understand the difference between 2WD & 4WD.
Medium slides are showing off.
Large lurid slides are ... just don't break anything, ok?

There's a time and a place for everything. If you don't like to slide at all, you're too old.
Pick the right time and place, scare your grandkids; give them stories to tell about how their grandparents knew how to do fun awesome stuff with older vehicles
that the new vehicles won't allow without issuing a moving violation from the gov't when OBD3 finally rolls out.

Anyone who can still do figure-8 slides safely, WITH riders, while collecting a pension has been and is still aging quite gracefully.

Well the Ole Burb wouldn’t start today. Had some difficult starts earlier in the day. One or two over the past few days. Checked all fuses and relays and fine.
Definitely starter gave up. Tried tapping it while the wife cranked, no go. Got it towed and gonna get that done and rear main seal at same time.

Big quote incoming… damn! at least the wife is excited to get it all done and not be stranded again (and no more leaks…)

For the RMS, there's an alignment tool to center that cover on. I have the SacCity version rear one https://saccitycorvette.com/products/alignit-pro-series-rear-main-tool , then last year I bought the Amazon-special aluminum version that has the front and rear (just needed the front) and comes with an aluminum piece that bolts to the oil pan bolt holes: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08X4QL2TV?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_24

4 cans of brake cleaner lol

Crank seal is moist but not dripping.

Glad to finally get those leaks taken care of… and he said there was no metal in the oil pan just some sludge which came out pretty easy

There was another GMT800 Yukon there with 285k miles getting knock sensors and harness replaced. Mechanic said it runs like a top
