How To Tell if a Piston is TDC

Doing the driver's side valve cover replacement, throttle body cleaning and piston soak on my 96 Burb 5.3

All the write ups say make sure none of the pistons are at TDC after you pull the plugs and are going to add the GM cleaner.

Well how can I tell?

small screwdriver insert in plug hole see if you can feel top of each piston

just noticed you said 96 burb with a 5.3 did you swap out the 5.7 for the 5.3

No. 06 Burb. Typo. LOL

I do have a 96 with the 5.7 too tho...
