New Guy from Reno NV here. Got a 2003 1500 Sierra HD, V8 Crew Cab, with 220,000 miles. The interior door trim panel on the driver's side rear door has had the plastic hooks snap off.

Either looking for a new panel, tips on where to find one, or alternatively, does anyone know if the hooks are glued or how they are secured to the panel? They do not removable by themselves.

Welcome to the forum, from Oregon.

I looked at LMC Trucks, no help. I looked at RA, no help.

I looked at ebay, several listed in different colors.

Welcome from Kentucky. eBay or Marketplace might be your best bet. Around here, they seem to be parting them out. You might have to paint the panels to get an exact match

Hello from Texas. Anyway to put up a picture to see the specific hooks you are having issues sourcing.
I believe he is talking about the plastic molded "hanger hooks" on the backside of the panel. To remove the panel, after attaching screws and pins removed, you lift the panel up and the hooks will pull out of the holes in the metal door panel and do the reverse to then "rehang" the panel to allow for the reattaching of the screws and pins.

Gotcha, hadn't had to pull the door panels yet. I just assumed it was the plastic push style clips. I though it might have been another part of the door panel. Like the arm rest areas since they are prone to break

The door panel can still be hung, without the hooks, but is harder to do because nothing is helping to hold all the weight except the inner glass wipe seal trim. Then it is only the screws and pins. The hooks help support the entire assembly and also help align it.

I just watched a YouTube video. I understand now. Seems like a simple fix could be to get a piece of sheet metal from Lowes and cut it to make your own hooks. Cut off the old broken plastic pieces and use industrial glue to glue in the new sheet metal brackets. Maybe pad the new clip with some deadener to take care of any rattle.
Thats what I'd do.
Or buy some panels off of Facebook marketplace

Welcome to the forum! Lots of good info here. Ultimately you're going to need to pull the card to see what the actual problem is.

Yeah, I have been searching through eBay for a while. Near impossible to find the exact model and color.
look for a set of 2002 or older doors in your color (what color) and use the original color name, find it on your RPO label
Mine is dark pewter for example

just looking up dark pewter gm on google images to reference, this ebay listing was on the first page, showing what i mean. THe reason why is you focus the sphere of search down significantly to mostly just things made by GM, which will be interior trim color pieces, and door panel (dont even say rear just say door panel or door trim) you should get results. I say 2002 because they have rear door courtesy lamps and thus are superior anyway. but if you dont care then open up to all years your color was used.

find this info on your glovebox sticker or if you have your VIN i can tell you

Thanks all. Attached are the photos of the trim panel, the broken hook, and what I think shows that it's glued or something else? It doesn't just pop out by hand at all.

I wouldn't worry about that clip. IIRC, the top of the panel hooks in the window channel and the arm rest hook will retain the rest.
