I'm new to this forum and have found some useful information and cool trucks so far! Always been partial to this GMT800 generation, with '99 to '02 as my favorite. I bought my two-owner '02 Silverado LS 5.3 in Oct of 2022 with only 112K miles and have done some projects I'm proud of so far! My albums reflect just SOME of the many things I've done to this truck since I've owned it. I've learned so so much. Not sure if you're able to view the albums I've created; let me know if you're all able to view my project albums. If not, I'll post some pics in the related forum topics. Hopefully I'll inspire some ideas and conversations to help myself and other learn and do more! Happy to be here! Let me know if you have any good ideas and suggestions. I think my next project for 2025 will be an upgraded sound system. Any thoughts on that are very welcome! Thanks!

hahaha I hear ya! I'd like a do-over on a lot of things. But hey, thanks for the compliment! I do receive likes on the color. I like your '02 as well, it's like pewter, the color of my very first car! '74 Camaro. Can we say "do-over?" haha oh well. I love my classic '02 chevy now; it's like a time capsule from my younger days. I've put more work into this thing in the past two years than I've done to any vehicle. It can be a pain, but it's a hobby nonetheless. Looking forward to learning and sharing more! Thanks again!

Welcome from Kentucky. Curious about how you like the Eaton? G80 in mine is giving me fits / one wheel peels. Mine is 2WD, so I need traction. Figure I’ll be tearing into mine this spring or summer.

Hi, thanks! Hmm thats odd. Mine seems to perform flawlessly, both tires light up just fine. Check your warranty as i do believe my Eaton is like 100,000 miles.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

99-02, because the throttle body uses an actual throttle cable or was before the cat's eye look? I am not a fan of the cat's eye look myself but could not pass up this truck I bought.

To me, GMT800 with NO RUST suits me fine.

Sorry, a lot of us older folks refer to the factory limited slip as the G80. I’ve been researching upgrades for the factory one and saw where you had an Eaton. Was curious to how you like it.

Thank you! Yes, for both of those reasons, love the cable and the classic flat eye look! Although I am still a fan of any gmt800 as yours looks to be another great truck! I’ve done loads of research on Chevy engines, the LS platform, and of many of the newer models and technology, and time and time again it seems this generation of trucks/engines are just too hard to beat! I’m still seeing ads for these trucks for sale with over 200k even over 300k miles and still running strong! I think anyone will be hard pressed to find any other other vehicles out there for actual sale that can still claim running strong at over 300,000 miles. These engines have been tested by professionals in the field and most will agree they a the smoothest running most reliable engines gm has ever produced. We should all be very proud to own such a piece of auto manufacturing history.

What size wheel, tire, and lift are you running here? I love this look and am looking to do the same with my stock 2004 1500. Thanks!
