Have new 265/70-16 tires for '00 1500 Silverado/std cab/short bed/Z71. (4WD). Am able to buy 16x8 or 16x10 rims (that i like). Ideally, 16x9 would be nice. (Haven't found any yet.) So.. would the 16x10 be too wide for this truck (has flares)? Lowered slightly in front. (Nice rake, I can see over the hood better!) Anyone got any feedback on this combo? Would appreciate it.

Yeah, I'm thinking along those lines. My preference is still a 16x9, the thought being possibly a little more stability on the highway. And I really like the "deep dish" look. (I'm "old school"..).

... would a 16"x10" wheel be too wide for a 265/70R16 tire?
I wouldn't go wider than a 16"x8.5" wheel, but that's me.

If they are P265/70R16, NOT LT265/70R16, then 16"x9.0" is a small sacrifice to make for a deeper dish.
Just don't carry more than it says on your door, in your bed.

Yes, these have a 112T load rating. Sidewall doesn't say LT.
Highly unlikely I'll be carrying more than the sticker says.
Thanks, Classic-Al

I have 275/50/22 on a lowering kit and they are 9.5 wide and they don’t stick out at all
Jordyn; I meant to get back to you, earlier. Sorry for delay. My question: what is the back side spacing of those rims? I'd be curious to know. But thanks for the info so far.
