Is genuine GM not available? I would use AC Delco if not.
NOS is getting expensive, some easily 3x price, and I don't know if it is better than the Delco Gold or Mevotech. I guess the 20+ year old rubber might be ok. Edit: GM parts is only offering it in Gold and Silver, no OE.

Recently I'd kind of got annoyed with the various "OE, gold, silver, genuine, blah blah" naming conventions so I went straight to the source to see what they had to say about it:

I saw that on the site there, seems somewhat vague, though I don't suppose they are going to talk down their own parts. I have heard Kryptonite are the best, though they don't make parts for my truck, at least not listed. 99-00 has a oddball front end where the diameter of the ball joint is smaller where it presses in to the control arm. Loaded control arms are expensive $800, seems a lot cheaper to buy the ball joint and bushings, my shop used to rebuild suspension, have to be careful when bolting it up to not tear the sleeve from the rubber bushing.

AC Delco Gold deserves consideration as you would to Moog suspension parts, Standard Motor Products sensors, high end batteries from an auto part store, but do not consider it as "stick with ac delco because GM"
Becuase its not made by GM, and its just midline tier stuff.

Silver can be grouped with Duralast and Dormans of the world and i Would avoid this unless somehow its the only product for something or its the only one besides a part store (better warranty)

OE(Used to be Professional) are good.
