I know this has been discussed a lot on other forums but lately I’ve seen amsoil listing their dexron II/III compatible atf (multi vehicle atf) as a valid fluid for auto trak transfer cases that call for auto-trak II fluid specifically.

Any insight as to weather the auto trak fluid is basically dexron III with additional friction modifiers? That’s my guess since that’s what the amsoil atf is. It’s just a higher concentration of friction modifiers than their dexron VI fluid “fuel efficient”. What do you use?
