Best place to mount switches

In the next few months I'll be doing some mods that require switches in the cab, so what's everyone's opinion on mounting locations? I've seen some people put switch near the airbag switch is below the center air vent, how do you do that? I don't want to start drilling holes without knowing if there's anything behind it. I'm open to any suggestions

What type of switches are you going to be running? N2o? Cab lights, aux switches, rockers, toggles, push button, dual arming switches, mini switches, are they going to be in plain sight or do they need to hidden?

Just toggle switches. These are the ones I got.

They have 3 poles on them, 2 positive and one ground obviously. They will be used for various lights around the truck, LED light bar eventually or on my next gmt 800, I will be putting 2 of those square led flush mounts in my rear bumper for "hooking up my trailer at night". But really actually for tailgaters at night lol. I will also be running them as reverse lights. I'm also gonna be putting bed lights and engine bay lights, I have hood pin switch to try under my hood and under the tonneau cover but if those plans go south I will be using these toggles switches instead. They can be in plain sight or hidden it doesn't really matter. But I do want to have easy access to them both while I'm driving and when im just working around my truck.

I plan on running a small switch panel for now under the dash until I can have a small center console mounted to hold the cb and a switch panel

When I have a console for it i plan on running the flat style rocker switches instead of toggle switches
