Bought my nephew an 02 Tahoe 4.8 4x4 for his first car since his parents are irresponsible and make stupid life choices. His birthday is in November, so I have about two months to get it situated. Here's my done/will be done soon list:
-Change every single fluid
-Pads & rotors all around
-All new hoses
-Water pump & thermostat
-All belts, pulleys, tensioners
-All filters
-Stock sized (265/70-16) BFG A/T KO2's
-Bilstein shocks & springs (nivomat delete)
-All new front light w/xenon projector retrofit
-All new stereo w/components all 4 doors, 2-way 4" in d-pillars powered by 50x4 amp
-12in sub in bandpass powered by 300x1
-Remote start
No intake, exhaust or any kind of power adders at this time as it's just not necessary.
I'd add photos, but apparently the size exceeds what is allowed. I've done about half of what's listed above already. The projector retrofit is definitely worth the time and money.
I've never owned one of these, so I may need some tech advice here and there if you don't mind. Thanks!
