Howdy y'all. I've been on GMT400 for a few years now, but finally made my way over here. I'm quite familiar with GM trucks from the 80's through '02. I've had 400s for the vast majority of my life since I got my driver's license, but I inherited my Grandpa's '02 1500HD after he passed away. So I now have an 800 to call my own. He bought the truck as a year old lease return in fall of '03, and it's been in the family ever since. He was meticulous about maintenance on the truck, and at the time of his passing in 2019, only had about 115k miles on her. I came into possession of her October of last year, after mostly sitting at my Grandma's house for almost a year, before my mother stole the truck for almost 2 years. My mother put approximately 40k miles on the truck in the time she had it, before it was recovered. The condition of the truck deteriorated significantly in those two years. But I've been working on putting her back together.
This was the truck the day I brought her home. She had 150k miles. Currently she has 168k miles.
