I almost bought some SE long tubes but they had some notes on fitment issues that has opened a can of worms.

I have a 2000 2500 (LD) 2wd 6.0

Does anyone know if there is a set of long tubes that will fit? If not then a good set of shorties? I'm thinking 1.75". I do plan on putting some nitrous on it so I wanted a decent exhaust volume.

I'm told on the Light duty truck the control arms mount on top of the frame that will cause fit issues, vs the HD where the control arms are dropped 2" and on the outside of the frame. that's what SE told me but I haven't been able to verify that anywhere.

The 2" difference makes sense. I know my 2004 HD sits a little higher and when I look up parts, sometimes I come to a disclaimer for 2" difference in height. Looking up shocks comes to mind.

I haven't been able to confirm that applied to a 00. 03 and later I beleive is what I found on that for sure.. probably the same on the 00 but unsure.

The last statement is correct. Your truck is coil springs, correct?

I came across a truck like yours once at a wrecking yard and snapped some photos. I'll post them once I get back home in a few days if you are interested.

In the front yes.

So it sounds like no one has a good line on some headers that will fit

Well not yet anyway. You just posted the request less than 12 hours ago. Did SE have other options? Did you try ebay? By the way, who is SE? Have you tried Summit?

By the way, welcome to the forum from Oregon.

What part of Arkansas?

I'm going to guess Speed Engineering
Have not heard of them. BUT, I am also a 95% stock set up guy. My 2005 Tahoe Z71 has a Black Bear Performance Traditional Tune and Hellwig Performance sway bar kits, front and rear.
