I recommend using some spray white lithium grease and spray down the front and rear tracks that the front and rear glass travel in. Plus, remove the inner door panels and expose the gear mechanisms and spray lube on anything that moves. Then reattach the crank handle and roll the glass up and down. There are rollers at the bottom track, attached to the bottom of the glass and make sure to clean as best you can, the track the rollers ride in, and lube in there, as well.

It's a lot like my front door screen door. Lately has been harder to swing open and made lots of squeaks. Sprayed in some lithium grease at the hinges and now is quiet and smooth opening.

There is a scissor mechanism inside the door. It is pushed to scissor by the gear crank. Dirt and debris build up and whatever grease may be in there will harden up. A good cleaning and lubricate will allow smoother movement.

the windows are large

Compare to a 1990s ford f150 with manual windows, the glass is square and about 1/2 the size , so its lot less weight and the curvature of the gmt800 glass is also greater, and the fit in the track is tighter. THe handles are more sloppy, this means the force used to spin them is not all raising or lowering, its getting wasted in binding and being sloppy.

Polyurea grease is better for long term lubing the regulator and lower track area, a clear silicone would be best for the upper channels because it wont stain and wont stand out when it migrates out
