Narrowing

I have a 2004 silverado frame that is stock.
What would one have to do to narrow the track of the tires about 4 inches.
I want to put a 53 truck on it, and would like it to fit up under the fenders better.

2 inches narrower is tough for the whole frame. I've narrowed a rear axle about 5" to fit under a '72.

Might be better off looking at wheels with more backspacing. Could probably gain an inch on each side that way. I don't know if you could find wheels to do two inches more.
