I guess I didn't make a thread here about Ol' Drippy, our silver birch metallic '06 Silverado SS. It was my wife's daily driver for the past 9 years and 100K miles. Not a bad truck, I'm just way more comfortable with GMT400's so we replaced it with a clean low-mile '94 ECSB C1500.

Y'all probably recall I sold my '06 Silverado SS Intimidator early this year. We're now GMT800-less! And 3 GMT400's in the driveway/garage.

Here she is getting loaded up to cross the country to the new owner. Sold!

And her humble, but clean, replacement

We've had the truck since I drove it home from MS in April, but I've been kinda slow-poking getting the little things handled on it so it would be dependable. New IAC valve (and properly reset the minimum air rate screw someone dicked around with), radiator, tires, heater hose connector, EGR valve, cleaned out the evaporator core fins, lubed the blower motor, filters, headlights and taillights. She's been driving it for a week now.

That's a good looking truck, does your wife like it?
Thanks, and she does.. she used to drive my '94 C2500LD years ago before I sold it like a dummy. She always commented how comfortable the seats were, and that she felt like it was easy to see down the hood to judge where the front of the truck was. At that point it was probably the "biggest" vehicle she'd ever driven. The GMT800's seem bigger in almost every dimension, and she struggled with that difference a bit. I think she feels more at home in the '94, which I get, because I feel the same way. I replaced my '06 Intimidator with a '94 C1500 as well.

Then for the play toy I've got the '93 C3500 dually I've been working on the last couple years. Wife won't drive this one.. she can't drive stick although I've offered to teach her, she's worried about how wide the booty is. Fair enough; don't want those fenders busted up any more than they already are!

How's that for a whole bunch of non-GMT800 content ;)
