Took my 03 suburban through the car wash today, found out my rear window has a leak. Seems to be the seal, doesn’t seem like the glass is pushed up against the glass tight at the top like it is on the sides and bottom. Thinking I will replace the seal. Is this a common issue? Anything else I should look into?

Check your rear window struts and make sure they’re seated properly on the little nipples

Probably the seal if I had to guess - good chance to clean the top of the rear window opening too make sure they’re seated properly water is draining off the right way
Do you know if there is supposed to be an external seal/rubber flap around the 3rd brake light? I don’t think there is but there are flaps to each side of that area.

Sorry TomO didn’t get a chance to check out the Burb just left for a business trip. Doesn’t look like it though.
What flaps are you referring to?

According to RA, the high mounted brake light/3rd brake light, has a complete rubber seal around it. Just like my Tahoe.

Are you sure the top of the glass is being hinged to the seal or pulled to the seal, enough?

Can you post a picture?

Yes, seems like the top of the glass is too far from the seal.
