Tire Review: Michelin Defender LTX M/S2

So after having a balancing issue with the Toyo OpenCountry AT3 I was able to swap them out for this set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 126/123S in 285/70r17.

After running the original Defender LTX M/S for ~43k miles I was really pleased with their performance except for the excessive wear on the outer bands (most likely due to narrow tire on wider wheel).
I’m thrilled to be back on Michelins and this 2nd generation of the M/S doesn’t disappoint. Michelin makes a really good tire and I’m thrilled with how smooth these tires run and they are practically silent. I’m hoping to get more than ~40k out of this set before I have to replace them.




I’ll keep this updated as I accumulate the miles. @ORVietVet Oh and I might have a line on a set of the correct center caps. Fingers crossed.

Thanks. I drive a '15 LML but am trying to get my post count up so I can sell a BBK throttle body. I bought it for a 2000 vintage boat motor I'm working on but the bell crank turns the wrong way for my throttle cable
