Thanks, yeah id have thought differently if it matched the cab height and was color matched. But I also use a 5th wheel hitch so that would have been a pain to take off and on.

Yeah I put them on for towing, it was after this trip I decided I wanted to be able to see past the fron of the trailer. Its the same with my little 5th wheel. With stock mirrors all you see is the front of the trailer.

Nice truck man, love the hood! Didn't realize the hd had a different hood on it, my dad has a 2500 gas and it's has the same hood as my 1500 so I figured they were all the same! Looks sick tho!

I just cut it, you could weld up the underside if you want it to look factory from underneath. I think folding it would be a pain in the butt being on a curved surface.

Alright, cool, thanks for the info. The paint on the hood, roof and bed cover are shot and peeling. So debating if I would want to do this or not since it needs paint regardless

I like the look, but my only complaint is the hood seems to be a bit shorter than the original. I think the older trucks had more curve in the front grill shell. Because the hood doesnt come all the way to the front of the grill like it used to, and the same over the headlights.

Can kind of see what I mean in this picture

I think it is the 03+ grill. It would probably look better on the 99-02 grill
