Both front seats have bad bushings in the tracks as the seats slide front to back a little. So I ordered up the repair kits for that.

Here is a couple of pics of the LF seat. Now you know why there are seat covers.

Eventually I'll see about ordering replacement seat covers & foam again.
So I've ordered covers twice off of ebay that were listed as being correct. What showed up was closer to an 03 Silverado tan. But it listed as being Medium Oak as mine is. They looked nothing like peanut butter color. Plus it was a bitch to return, seller dragged their feet.
The seat store, I think that's the name, was out of stock.

That's the same interior/color as my 99. I also developed the seat track clunk.

I actually swapped the seats to cloth (equipment similar color) and manual controls because I deleted the center console in favor of a jumpseat.

The original leather driver's side seat got left outside and it got destroyed. I just tossed it. SMH. The passenger seat was in better shape and I kept it in my garage.

My brand new aftermarket passenger window switch came in. Got it from ebay for $12.74 shipped.
Looks identical to the original except it's fresh black vs faded black.
The oem unit is made by TRW, part # 15045084
Now my plug will stay put.

Yeah, yeah, I know that I still gotta clean the bezel. But I still gotta take the panel off a couple of more times.

Drivers window switch just showed up, so I installed it.
Again, aftermarket switch off of ebay $16.15 shipped.
Clean bright black vs faded black.
The oem unit is made by TRW, part #15054161

When I removed the Oem switch, the passenger button fell off. The tab is broken.

The new unit works just as the old one did.
But didn't solve my pwr locks not fully cycling.
I was always pretty sure that it was one of the lock actuators. Pretty sure that it's the driver's side that is bad as the interior lights do not come on when you pull the exterior handle.
But I had planned replacing all of the switches anyways.

The new aftermarket pwr mirror switch also came in today.
$12.09 shipped on ebay.
Again, shiny clean black vs faded black.
The oem part # is 15045085

But this switch actually fixed something. My pwr mirrors now work as they should.

I also noticed that my HVAC controller moves when I hit bumps in the rd. So I pulled the bezel.
All 4 mounting pins on the back of the climate controller are broken.
So I raided my GM interior hardware bin & grabbed 2 (for lack of the proper name) nutserts & 2 screws.

I put the 2 nutserts in the dash, then screwed the HVAC unit in, using the holes that were already there.

That's one less interior noise & one less project.

Yes, I know that my cluster bezel is filthy. I'll get there eventually.

That driver's seat is as bad as I have ever seen.

Great job. Enjoying the progress.

The little things like those are always annoying. They often don't require a lot of money, more like time hunting down replacements and taking the time to fix them.

Once you do fix them, you wonder why you hadn't fixed it sooner.

Thanks.

I'M used to people ignoring the little things or hack repairing them. They so much more time & effort to hack it. Sometimes more money too.

I've only had this truck since the end of this past April.
My priority is the house @ the moment. So im only tackling the small projects on the truck for now. In process making the truck more enjoyable when I use it.

So today I stopped @ the local self-serve salvage yard to check it out. They had an 04 Sierra Denali 4dr ext cab.
I grabbed the 3 black chrome interior door handles.
It had one of the fiberglass Protec beds on it. It was damaged.
The interior was trashed. Drivetrain was gone. Grille broken. Front lights were cloudier than my old ones.
The handles were $9ea.

I also picked up the 2 front door glass & regulators from an 06 crew cab from a kid on marketplace. The glass had 5% tint. $100 for the lot.
My drivers door glass was all scratched up from the outer belt weatherstripping.
I don't need the regulators, but $20 for the pair as spares, I'll stash them in the shed.
